Kare Kano/ His and Her Circumstances

kare kano is a weird show... and i love it

i was just gonna talk about why i like it but i kimda just summarised it. whoops.

its starts off as a cute slice of life from the main girl and her life pretending to be the "perfect student" until she meets arima and eventually gets wit him. this is where the story properly starts, going through their daily life, learning to love, and meeting new characters which happens alot in the later episodes.

Arima is then shown to have a harsh upbringing, being beaten and riddiculed until his aunt and uncle took him for their care. This is very important to the later episodes.

Miyazawa (the main girl) after getting with arima they both decide to try and be themselves instead of their fake selves, she finds this hard at first and has problems with ceirtain people about it, for example maho, who makes everyone in her class turn on her cus she lied to everyone anout her personality but Miyazawa turns it on her and eventually become friends.

Her friends end up being more major charachters

asaba (arimas friend) becomes a bigger character, initially fighting with miyazawa but becoming friends soon after... that happens quite alot in this show. asaba is a laidback charachter who loves the ladies~ and the girls in the

girls in the school love him. that might seem bad but hes funny and flamboyant so whateva. now its the end of semester start of summer and Arima gets busy, he goes to sum camp,so Miyazawa hangs out with her friends and realizes that she has no real interests outside studying, so she seeks to corrects this. tsubasa joins the cast due to miyazawa joing her friend group, she is short, short-tempered and childish. she seeks refuge in miyazawas house after a few eps because her da wants to remarry. after awhile she notices shes wrong and goes and properly meets with the step mam and her son, she ends up making good friends with the son and everythinh turns out fine. arima now gets back from the camp and reacquaints with miyazawa, she tells him that she loves him even more now, and seeing that arima has changed, she now notices even more about not having many interests.

they then take their love life to the next level, usually just kissing everynow and again they decide to actually do it, but after havinb such an intimate moment this causes arima to have a nightmare about his past. from now on things change to focusing more on other characters. aya (a writer whos best friend is Sakura, a sportsy tomboy) proposes her play that she wrote that will star miyazawa and maho along with their other friends. at first miyazawa and maho decline but eventually agree to it.

the girls go out more and spend time working on the play, arima slowly notices this as she finally comes to terms with herself as a person tonami (a sportsy guy who just transferred that used to be in their primary, yet looks relly different) goes after sakura because of her past bullying of him, he also gets friendly with yukino (miyazawa first name) and arima does not like this and distances himself from tonami, showing us that he has not yet come to terms with his past. tonami kisses sakura noticing that he never hated her he loved her.

the series ends on a weird note not really explaining what happend to arima, and his relationship with yukino, or any other thing im forgetting. apparently since this is an adaptation of a manga the book ends properly, this is ofc due to anno (nge guy) taking over as director halfway through (apparently cant find proper evidence but he definitely directed it anyway). anno has very poor budgeting skills and most likely fucked it up. but overall i love it, it also makes me a bit depressed tho cus i feel every second ep is depressing then the next is super funn and happy. the classic gainax animation is all there includinb the charachters standinh in all black and look like your glasses have water on them. i wish it was longer though, i feel the charachters especially tonami and arima could've been fleshed out more.

small mentions: the dog that always has his tongue out is really cute. rikas voice sounds like she is eating marshmallows and its great. asaba is my favourite character. wish there was more episodes focusing on yukinos younger siblings. music is great but depressing at times. intro song is great. some visuals like the bumpers are cool lookin the best episodes were the ones where yukino and her friends hang out

would i reccomend? im not sure, if you like most slice of life this will be a very weird anime to you but i love weird shit so. if you like evangelion? yes this is better than nge. (still like nge very lovehate)

i will check out the manga and update this page when i want to, hopefully the ending being better is true.
